Why has my Thinkwell course appearance changed?

Your Thinkwell course has a new look! Same great content, same course structure, with a new, easier-to-use layout and added features.

We've moved all Thinkwell courses from our Legacy platform to our updated Canvas course platform. On October 31st, the Legacy version of our courses will be retired, and all students will work in the updated layout.

If you've been using a Legacy course, things will look a little different the next time you log in, but everything you need is still accessible right from your Thinkwell account console.

What's Staying the Same

  • Your course content. The same video lectures, lessons, and practice activities you've been using.
  • Your course structure. Chapters, lessons, Quizzes, Tests, and Exams follow the same order you're used to.
  • Your progress and grades. Work you've already completed carries over to the updated course.
  • Self-paced learning. You can still work at the pace that fits your schedule.

What's New for Students

  • A cleaner, more user-friendly layout that makes it easier to find your next lesson and track where you are in the course.
  • Most Thinkwell courses are now equipped with out powerful Studdy Buddy learning support tool. Find it in the Interactive Practices, and read more about what it can do here at thinkwellhomeschool.com.

What's New for Parents and Facilitators

Parents and facilitators get the biggest upgrade. From the Administrative Console, you can now:

  • View Activity Reports and Grade Reports
  • Reset Quizzes, Tests, and Exams
  • Access free eBook Companion Books and Answer Keys in the new Resources tab
  • Customize your student's access to course tools in the new Settings tab

How to Log In

You can log in to the updated course at either thinkwellhomeschool.com or thinkwell.com. Your username and password stay the same.

Which Courses Are Affected?

This update applies to all courses previously on our Legacy platform, including:

  • Standard and Honors 6th–8th Grade Math (purchased before September 2021)
  • Standard and Honors Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 (purchased before September 2021)
  • Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus (purchased before September 2025)
  • Essential Skills Review courses
  • High School Electives
  • College Math and Science courses
  • AP-compatible and CLEP courses
